Whoa Harry Potter Debate with a Reviewer

location: My sanctuary
mood: nerdy
music: Michael Buble

So I've been having a nice long debate with someone named Teufel1987, who is a good reviewer of my story Surprise! The basis of this whole debate is this: I brought James, Lily, and Sirius back from the "dead" and needed a reason for why Harry saw them in the forest when he used the Resurrection Stone. A few other things i had to come up with are the whole Dementor thing and how Harry reacts to them and what he hears, and the Graveyard scene from GoF when his parents come out of Voldies wand. But I'm not going to get into those reasons here.  My question is this...who do you agree with and why? Me or Teufel? A better question might be whose theory makes more sense Logically and Canon-wise?

Me: So basically, my idea for the Stone is this...it's broken and in Harry's state of mind, he made up what he saw. Psychologically speaking, he was heading towards his death. He held the stone in his hand and "knew" that it would bring the people he most wanted to see to him. So he turned it over and in his state of mind, imagined seeing his parents, Sirius, and Remus. He heard them say what he wanted to hear, that they were proud of him and that death doesn't hurt. Hearing that made it easier for Harry to walk to his death. In reality, Dumbledore damaged the stone beyond repair when he removed the Horcrux from it. I'll have Hermione "try" the stone in front of them, and then have Ron, Ginny and finally Harry try it, all to no avail.
It's all a psychological hallucination if you will. The story of the ring and the Peverell brother it belonged too was that he called forth his dead love and she was there but at the same time not there. She couldn't enjoy anything and she didn't want to be there. She wasn't happy. But when harry calls his family to him, they are smiling and proud of him. Telling him they love him, etc. He also says they look like the Memory Riddle that emerged from the diary. Not Ghosts, but not fully solid either. In the story, it doesn't specify if the person comes back as a solid being or not. The Tale of Three Brothers in Tales of Beedle the Bard says this, "To his amazement and delight, the figure of the girl he had hoped to marry, before her untimely death, appeared before him. Yet she was sad and cold, separated from him as if by a veil." I would assume that the term 'figure' and 'as if by a veil' meant she was ghost-like, or not fully solid. What harry sees is more like a memory, or what he'd imagine they would look like. The last paragraph on page 698 to 699 (DH) explains this. Its too much to type here. Hence them all looking young and happy. Sirius even says, "We're a part of you. Invisible to anyone else."
All of this leads me to the conclusion that Harry did not actually use the ring but imagined them in the forest.
What do you think? I've been working on gathering my evidence for quite a while now and I'm pretty firm in this. I just want to know what you think of it, and if you can come up with a counter argument. You seem to be pretty good at that after I post the chapter. Thanks for your input!

Teufel
: Now that's an interesting take on the stone ...though I doubt that the stone could be destroyed so easily ... I mean, if it was so easy to destroy the stone, then the wand could be also destroyed easily by snapping it ... and Dumbledore wouldn't need to have Snape kill him and die as the master of the wand ... all he would need to do was snap it ... as it is , I doubt that it would be easy to destroy such a powerful necromantic object
I think that when Cadmus used the stone the first time, he wanted to make his deceased sweetheart alive again ... because of which she was very unhappy since she enjoyed death ... Cadmus wanted her to come back to life and experience all that she did not miss (the pain and suffering etc). Now Harry on the other hand summoned his dead parents with the sole intention of finding out how it was like to die ... he had already accepted death and as such did not want to bring them back to life.
Its like this, the dead people had found paradise and peace when they died ... Cadmus wanted to rip that paradise out from his beloved. So naturally she would resent him ... Harry only called them out for a short while with the full intention of joining them in the afterlife. I don't think they would mind a few minutes out of paradise to help out a loved one accept death ... I think that was why the stone worked differently for Cadmus and Harry ...
If Death had truly made the objects, then I doubt that any mortal would be able to destroy it using conventional means (the sword would come into that category) ... After all, who is to say that Dumbledore didn't try and snap the Wand only to be unsucessful ... if the wand cannot be destroyed conventionally, then the Stone would be just as invulnerable. Also, don't forget that the Cloak cannot be affected by spells (which would include any destruction spells or a certain green coloured spell)
Besides, the Wand and the Stone were easily manipulated by Death so that he could attain his objective of getting the Brothers ... the Wand made somebody kill Antioch as somebody wanted it for themselves, and the Stone made Cadmus kill himself when he saw how happy his beloved was dead ... that made Cadmus accept death in a way. And Ignotus had lived his life fully and was willing to finally move on ... Death exploited the human weakness of power and immortality to get the elder two brothers ...
That's mainly why I think Harry is the best person to be the true master of Death ... he does not want Power, so he does not covet the Wand ... he does not fear death, nor does he want to bring back the dead. So he really does not care for the Stone. And he does not mind using the Cloak to help his friends ... in other words, he cannot be enticed by Death ... nor is he susceptible to it ... making him the Master of Death ... and he truly has mastered it ... he did die and come back to life after all ... It does not make him immortal though ... rather, he can choose when to die ... just like Cadmus did ... only Cadmus didn't accidentally become the Master of the Wand nor did he get the Stone ...

Me
: There's a tiny flaw in your idea...the stone was cracked. It was broken...To have something, like a Horcrux, ripped from them ruined the 7 items. The Locket was shattered, the cup had to be stabbed by a Basilisk fang, the Diadem burned by Fiend Fyre, and Harry had to be struck down with a Killing curse, etc. All the items holding the Horcruxes had to be irrevocably damaged beyond magical repair. That's pretty final if you ask me.
I have a feeling none of the three Hallows are "immortal," if you will, but they are fallible somehow. The wand can be beaten by death of the Master or being disarmed and not having the wand returned, it might not be easily snapped, but stolen works just as well. The Stone obviously was ruined by the Horcrux being removed. And the cloak is the easiest...If you bump into someone, you're found out. Yeah it's pretty strong when it comes to spells and hiding the person, but seriously...the easiest way to be discovered is also the simplest. They are all fallible.

Teufel
: Cracked does not equal to broken ... for all you know, the soul fragment never fully latched onto the stone ... considering the state of the locket and diadem when they were de-possessed of Voldemort's soul (they all became a pile of molten metal) ... The diary ended up with a big fat hole in it ... so I think that the Hallow, being so powerful, didn't let the soul latch onto it, it merely let the soul exist just beneath the surface ... which was destroyed when the sword pierced it ... actually if you look at it, the only Horcrux that survived more or less intact (besides Harry and the Stone) was the Diary which was destroyed by Harry ... is that a coincidence? When Dumbledore used the sword on the Stone, the Sword still belonged to Harry ... so I doubt that it would have worked as well ...
And Harry wasn't exactly damaged ... he was still sane and in control of all his bodily functions after being AK'ed (besides the fact that he could suddenly resist the Cruciatus curse) ...
The Hallows while fallible, are still functional ... in my opinion, it takes an unconventional method to destroy it ... The Elder Wand cannot be snapped, but its power can be broken if its master did the impossible of dying undefeated ... then again, its only a theory on Dumbledore's part ... after all, that was his plan B (trying to snap it would be plan A) so you never know what it might do if its master died undefeated ... after all, you forget that Death is far more powerful than mortals ... I think that only the Master of Death would be able to destroy any of the Hallows since he does not succumb to the power like normal humans ... Dumbledore himself admitted that he would not pick the cloak given a choice ...

Me:
But the Cup and the Diadem supposedly had great power as well. The Diadem was supposed to bestow wisdom on the wearer. Hephzibah Smith says that the cup, in its own right, possesses magical powers also.
The only reason Harry survived the AK was because the blood transfusion he gave to resurrect VM somehow created a "good" Horcrux of Harry's. As long as VM was alive and using Harry's protected blood, Harry couldn't die. The AK just got rid of that pesky Horcrux of VM's inside Harry. Don't forget Nagini had to die as well. She didn't have her own Horcrux alive in someone or something else, so she had to actually die.
All these Horcruxes are described as being utterly destroyed. So destroyed that can't be fixed by Magic. Harry himself wasn't harmed because the Horcrux inside him took that place. The other items, whether they were a Hallows or not, had to be utterly destroyed to remove the Horcrux. The Cup, Diadem, Diary, and Locket were destroyed and we can assume that they won't be salvageable as a magical tool again. Unless completely redone and built back up from the raw material and respelled. The same rule has to apply to the Stone as well! Just because it was made by Death, doesn't mean it can't be broken. I'm sure just snapping the wand wouldn't have worked, but chop it with a Basilisk venom-coated Sword then maybe.
The Diary had a huge hole stabbed through it, I wouldn't call that intact. It bled the ink from it's pages too. And the sword never really "belonged" to Harry before Dumbledore died and left it to him. Just because Harry called it to him in the Chamber doesn't mean it's not his. It said that any Gryffindor who was in need could call it. Like Neville. When Neville needed it, technically it belonged to the Goblins.

Teufel
: Yes ... but then again, the Cup and the Diadem were made by Helga and Rowena respectively ... and they were perfectly ordinary (if powerful and smart) witches ... unlike Death, who is basically a force of nature ... you really cannot compare them and their power
The Cup and the Diadem had great power yes, but its like comparing all the nuclear bombs ever made to the power of the Sun ... And just like the part of Voldemort's soul took the brunt of the curse and left Harry unharmed, the same way the piece of Voldemort's soul in the Hallows died in the attack leaving the Stone intact albeit with a crack (that rhymes!) ... the damage seems to be cosmetic ... just like how a phone or a watch still works when the screen or the face gets a crack (I should know, it happened to my watch)
My understanding of the sword is that it belongs to the one who pulled it out till the next person with great courage (in other words a true Gryffindor) needs it and pulls it out ... If you recall, Harry made Ron destroy the locket with the sword cause he was the one who pulled it out when Harry couldn't get it from the lake ... Dumbledore hadn't pulled the sword out ... it was given to him by Harry ...
And JK herself said that Griphook had it wrong when he said it belonged to the goblins ... it rightfully was Gryffindor's who had left it to the next Gryffindor who had a dire need for it ...
As for the Diary ... well, it was a bit more intact compared to the heaps of metal that was the Cup and the Diadem.

Me:
Okay so i have proof that the Horcruxes (and by process of elimination the Stone Hallow) had to be destroyed completely. Pg 103-104 in DH. Hermione is explaining how to destroy a Horcrux. She says it doesn't just have to be a Basilisk fang/venom, "It has to be something so destructive that the Horcrux can't repair itself. Basilisk venom only has one antidote..." "Phoenix tears," replied harry. Here's the key sentences though. "That's a problem we're going to have to solve, though, because ripping, smashing, or crushing a Horcrux won't do the trick. You've got to put it beyond magical repair." Ron asks, "But even if we wreck the thing it lives in, why can't the bit of soul in it just go and live in something else?" Hermione then explains that, "A Horcrux is the complete opposite of a human being...whatever happens to your body, your soul will survive, untouched. But it's the other way around for a Horcrux. [The Horcrux or piece of soul] depends on it's container, its enhanced body, for survival. It can't exist without it." on Pg 303, Phineas Nigellus tells Hermione, "Goblin-made armor does not require cleaning. Goblins' silver repels mundane dirt, imbibing only that which strengthens it." AKA Basilisk Venom.
So this is where we're at if we're looking at this logically:
1) to destroy a Horcrux it must be destroyed beyond magical repair.
2) one of the only substances strong enough to do that kind of damage is Basilisk Venom.
3) The Sword of Gryffindor imbibes that which makes it stronger and was covered in Basilisk venom.
If for a moment we forget the stone in the ring is a Hallows, and if you trust that the (canon) premises are true, the conclusion would be that the ring would be destroyed.
Now add in the fact that the ring was made by Death. Does this make the ring infallible? If you say yes, then the whole conclusion of the Horcrux being destroyed is false. If the Horcrux wasn't destroyed then how did Voldemort die in the end? Lets look at the facts. The Stone was the actual Hallow, made into a ring probably by Marvolo Gaunts' ancestors. When Dumbledore tried to destroy the Horcrux he knew it was a Hallows item. (He tried to use it and it ruined his hand.) He also knew that in order to destroy the Horcrux he'd have to destroy the ring beyond repair, so he used the Venom coated sword to destroy the ring, and Crack the stone. If by your logic the damage is only cosmetic then I go back to what Hermione said, "ripping, smashing, or crushing a Horcrux won't do the trick." Cosmetic damage wouldn't get rid of the Horcrux unless the object (and by definition its magic) is utterly destroyed.
You say that Dumbledore would have destroyed the wand by snapping it if the Hallows were as fallible as to be destroyed by Basilisk venom...but that's not the way Dumbledore's mind thinks. He only destroyed the Stone because it was a Horcrux. It had to be destroyed. He also had the Cloak at one point, but didn't try to destroy it. What reason would he have to destroy these items? Other than the reason of Horcruxes? He had no reason, so we don't know that the wand can't be destroyed. Death did only pluck it from a Elder tree. It's not like its not just a stick of wood. As far as we know it doesn't even have a core in it.
You also mention that the Cloak is spell proof and so on. We don't know that. We only know that it can't be summoned by another person while it's in use. We have no other precedent other than the one time the death eaters tried to summon it in Hogsmeade.
I stand by my theory that the Ring was destroyed and Harry hallucinated his parents, Sirius, and Remus in the Forest. But this debate has helped me solidify my opinion and that is pretty much why I asked you your opinion. lol...So thanks! I think my logic class might have been a little too much fun for me...

location: my bedroom
mood: apatheticapathetic
music: Don't Jump by Tokio Hotel

January: Alissa, my best friend died of Brain tumors/Cancer. during the funeral my friend James had a Grand Mal seizure and I had to call 911, while someone tried to break into the bathroom using a room key to get to him.
May: My Uncle Jack died of old age. He was a WW2 Veteran.
June: 5th: Paige, a friend from High school died after a car accident. She and her boyfriend rolled their car on 94 between exits in Monticello. As they were getting out of their car another car hit theirs and pushed it into them killing Paige and critically injuring her boyfriend.
around the 21st: I get notice that an old co-worker of mine died of an overdose of Heroine.
around the 22nd: I find out one of my best friends tried to kill themselves and went ballistic on his family. Thankfully he's getting better and on meds.

This year has sucked, but I am doing okay. I really need to use this site more, since I haven't told any of my close friends about it, I can use it to talk about things I'd rather not share with them.  Now about my fic, I am writing still but events (see above) have hindered my creativity somewhat.

I start school again in August, should be my last semester at ARCC. I should get my AFA degree by December then I'll be moving on to a BFA at SCSU. I have to keep telling myself this or I'll loose heart.

In my story, I really just want to get a move on. I've planned so far ahead that I'm not interested in what I am writing right now. I need to re-focus on the point in my story that I am writing still.

If anyone reads this please let me know that I'm not talking to nobody.

Anime Detour

Apr. 6th, 2009 | 08:50 pm
location: my bedroom
mood: bouncybouncy
music: oldschool playlists

So, I went to Anime Detour this last weekend. I had a blast, it was fun hanging out with friends of similar interests and such. I went with a group from the darkroom; Velander (V), Arie, Kelsey, Brendon, and Sam. Plus Abbey, Tiana, and her friend Stephanie, and then Ross and Mel, and Katie were there too. Haven't seen Mel in like two years (the last detour I went to) and the last time I saw Ross was at Alissa's funeral...

So Friday's schedule went like this. Get up at 7, take a shower, pack bags, go to school. Class till 11, head to Crown Plaza, check in a Registration, take a million pictures of all the Costumes (Team Rocket, and Cloud and so many!) check in to Hotel (Room 1517, floor 15) walk around the Con for a while. Buy some stuff. Opening show (kinda boring), Dance! saw Ross, went up to room and hug out watched movies (Death Note is the Bestest!) went to sleep at about 1am.

Saturday went about the same. except is started at 8 am. went to Basic cosplay sculpting (Boring), then went back to the room and hung out with various people until 4. Went shopping and bought wooden geisha shoes (AWESOME! $30!), a Death Note notebook, a badge that says "Why, yes, I do write Fan Fiction." and two Totoro buttons of the Soot gremlins. Then the elevators broke. we had to climb 15 flights of stairs! So I stayed in the room the rest of the night. V and I hung out while everyone chilled downstairs. When she went down to the dance I stayed in the room planning on some quiet study time (I had a big test on Monday), instead I fell asleep with my face in the book. When everyone got back (blitzed out their freaking minds I might add), I woke up and someone popped in Afro Samurai. V fell asleep so fast I think she fell asleep as she sat down on the bed to lay down, I didn't think it was possible for a person to fall asleep that fast. Kelsey and Brendon were watching the movie and Arie...kissed me. We started a heavy makeout session. which was totally awesome!

I'm just saying, I've liked him for awhile now. He a really nice guy and has a sense of humor, likes art, a great friend.  Well, after we woke up, I was getting my teeth brushed and he came into the bathroom with me and V to get something, and then he hugged me and kissed me on the temple before walking out of the bathroom. V looked at me and was like, in a whisper "What the hell happened after I passed out last night?" and I was like, "Arie and I made out for like hour and a half." she was like, what!? but then Arie came back over here and she whispered to me, we're going to talk later and I nodded.

So when we left for Japanese Snacks, we gossiped like school girls and giggled like crazy. When we left V's house, Tim was driving Arie home while she drove me to Back to the 60s in Elk River to meet my dad. Arie hugged her, then while she kissed her husband goodbye, he gave me a hug and we kissed on the lips again. Very tender. and he said see ya later. All the way home me and V gossiped like crazy.

So yeah, Anime Detour was awesome! I tried Fish Jerky, not so awesome...

Alissa

Well, it's been a month to the day since my best friend died. She had brain cancer for the last 4-5 years. I miss her. She was a great person, she loved life, she loved her friends and family, she was religious, but didn't force it on people. I wish i would have told her that i chose to follow Wicca like her. I chose to learn more about her religion and never told her that i did, and liked what i learned. She's the person who taught me to not care about what others think about me, and therefore, i am who i am because of her. if i hadn't listened to her, i would still be a shy, bookworm, loner person i was in middle school. Not the weird, nut job, loudmouth i am now.

I miss her.

i also hate Valentines day...it makes me feel lonely.

Computer issues and new fics

Jan. 7th, 2009 | 10:17 pm
mood: dorky
music: nada

So The last few days I have sat on my ass and read this new fic (despite computer issues {i know, how many more can i get? Seriously?} since the main family dino comp crashed, the roter that was conected to it, wouldn't send out an IP address, so our net was down for a day... for someone who lives on the net, to go a day without was like bloody hell!) So this fic is called Harry Potter and the Antiquity Link by semprini on Snoogle. here's the URL: http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/semprini/HPATAL.html

It will bring you to the chapter list just click on chapter 1. It's a Post-DH, Epilogue non-compliant. So basically, takes place after the battle and before the Epilogue. No ships really, It doesn't focus on Harry, Ginny or anyone. i wil say that it is R/Hr, but because they were together at the end of DH. I don't want to ruin the ending by saying anything so i wont. The story revolves around Harry and how he recovers emotionaly and mentally after the effect of being on the run for a year. There's a slight twist in the middle but if you stick with it, it's so unbelievable totally fantstically worth it. I don't want to say too much about it because it would ruin the story's (unbelieveable) uniquness. Seriously, the author (semprini) is so amazing. She (i'm assuming its a she with the way they wrote, just feels right) thought of things that i haven't seen in any fic anywhere. And i'll tell you i've read a lot of Post -DH stories, mainly for inspiration. And i haven't seen her ideas anywhere. i sat on my ass for three days, three effing days, reading this story. I seriously tryed to stop to do things, but i thought about it until i sat back down to read more, and the more i thought about it the more i was drawn to hurry up what i was doing so i could get back to it. the plot draws you in and seriously the whole rising climax thing they teach us in school, her story climax rose and fell so many times i lost track of how many times just in the first chapter! (well the first two) Everyone needs to go check it out!!!

Okay now that i got that out of the way, thought i'd share a tidbit of info of myself. I got my lip pierced on the 5th. Right smack in the center, is what my mom said when she saw it, and boy was she pissed! lol, i love my mom, don't get me wrong but her ideas and views are seriously old fashioned. I was suprised she didn't yell for an hour straight, it was only about a five minute lecture. (i think the doughnuts and Mountain Dew i brought home were a good peace offering, lol) but yeah, it kinda hurts right now, healing and everything. and eating has been a small issue, but i still feel that it's totally worth it. I've wanted one since i was in 7th grade. and i fugure in a few years, if i don't want it anymore, at least it's not a permanent tattoo. I can take the ring out and let it heal and poof, lip ring, when did i ever pierce my lip?! ears maybe...but lip?! lol

so for Summer After, i am going to be posting a new chapter either the 8th or the 9th. (but since i haven't mentioned this to anyone who reads my fic, you'll have to have read the new chapter, before reading this...hmm, i really should have thought this through better. oh well) and my mommy's birthday is the 10th, she's turning 50!

Well, i've been neglecting my familial duties and *gasp* when the eff did it snow 6 inches?! my butt hurts, i must get up and do something...wonder where Satan Mutt is? He's always good for some x-r-size...Satan? I mean Burnie Bear? Where are you? i have your rope...

HP and the Summer After

Jan. 4th, 2009 | 02:39 pm
mood: mischievousmischievous
music: Pink: 18 Wheeler (gotta love the old stuff!)

Ok, so i have been working my tail off working on getting new chapters written so that i have a back up stash written for when my new semester starts. I will be doing my last semester of community college for my Associates of Fine Arts this spring. I'm exited, yet...disappointed that i'll end up needing to move on from this school. I've been here over 3 years now, this will be my seventh semester (so 3 1/2 years). I've made some great friends in the dark room where i tutor, and i know that once i leave i wont be seeing them that much anymore. So that's sad. I'm also scared of moving on to University size campus's. The U of Mn scares the bejeezes out of me, it's so...gasp...big! i like my tiny little campus...the teachers there are very informal, (funny story side bar: after a final in my Novels to Films class, there was only like 5 of us and the Prof in the room and there was about an hour left on the schedule, so what did we do? we sat around and facbooked each other! lol, that's how my teacher contacted me during our next class together, she sent me messages on Facebook! lol, ok i'm done) See what i mean about informality? of course i have had those other kind of Professor, *cough* Kysar and Homan *cough*. I had to call them Professor or Dr. and their last name. No informality allowed in their class rooms, needless to say English and Ancient and Medieval World Civilizations classes didn't do too well. only classes i failed or near failed. anyways...

back to the fan fic...i've written chapter 17 and part of 18, i hope to have them out of Aus. soon, ever since they ended up there, i've been having the worst writters block. (Gah! i hate that!) I want to appologize to anyone who is irritated that i don't post fast enough. I also have been working on getting my older chapters beta'd so that i don't have to worry about them. But i think i'm going to start having bella (eclipsed heart) work on the newer ones. When i am done i'll worry about the ones that didn't get updated. It's just taking too long to get them done, so onward we need to move.
Soon our favorite characters will be in my neck of the woods, Minnesota! I had to shamelessly go to my favorite state. It was how the story originally was written oh so long ago. The whole story then was Harry getting the dursley's home to Surrey. What was going to be a one-shot turned in a one subject notebook of story. and still wasn't close to being done. then i lost the notebook and got a laptop for my birthday, and ta-da! the internet became my life...(here's where my parents say *damn it what did we unleash on the world?*) lol. So i have the whole summer for them mapped out, i just need to write it. Which is causing some difficulty, especially since our desk top large family dinosaur comp crashed and my sisters have been asking to use mine. Luckily one of them only wants to use my cord (we got the same computers for our birthdays, her cord was chewed on by Satan, *cough* i mean her dog...and is useless now). So we just sit int eh same room and trade off the cord when one comp gets low on battery. Problem with that is, she does't understand that if i'm writing, i like silence (or HP soundtracks playing quietly in the background) not her chit chat.
So what i'm trying to say...i'm still working hard on the story in my spare time, which as it is, is coming too me in abundance these days, But not for much longer. and since the next few chapters will be in a place that i am very fond of and happen to live, it shouldn't be too hard for me to write about it. The chapters will flow like water from my finer tips! lol, that's me being poetic...which is why i'll never subject you to that again! lol. (huh, this is getting kinda long, isn't it?)

So lately my computer has been giving me problems, my anti-virus crap that came with the cheapest computer award has expired and i'm pretty sure i have some kind of virus thingy on my comp. So i've been doing back up's and stuff since i also have over 2000 photos and my art on this computer because i do't want to loose anything, but some of the back up's don't like me. So i went out and got a 2 GB flash drive that is now home to my story and all the pics i really can't loose. (like my freaking portfolio of art i've been working on for the last 3 years, just thinking of almost loosing all that nearly gave me a coronary heart attack!) so my story is safe! no need for me (or you) to worry!
Jeeze my family's been having a lot of comp probs lately haven't we? first, my siser's power cord, then the dino comp crash, then my friend Josh's (who is couch surfing at my house for the time being) HIS power cord is chewed by Saten Mutt (Wonder Dog's new arch nemisis) (hehe at least this time the mutt almost got electrocuted! lol), then my comp issues...hmm, me thinks the computer gods are trying to tell us something...or they just hate us.

So i'm going to do this thing where i post a few stories at a time for people to check out. I read a lot of fics (they inspire me) and the ones i like, i will recommend to others. The first i am going to recommend is Home Alone and Shadow of the Serpent by KEDme. *janice voice* Oh...my...god! this story always gives me thrills when i read it! I've read it 3 times now and she is such an amazing writer. The story is after OotP and has a very well written angsty harry. Both stories have angst, fluff, and humor. I'd rate it at about a PG-13. Home Alone is the first one, and while it seems like it woul be short, since the whole story covers mainly the span of 2 days, it's a great length. the Dursley's go out of town leaving Dudley and Harry at home alone (hmm, maybe a little obvious there). Dudley, the ever present lovable character that he is, desides to have a party. where it goes from there, i'll leave it up to you to check out.
Shadow of the Serpent is the sequel to HA. It covers the rest of the summer after the party, and then HP's 6th year at school or lack there of. its a great story that people will love! H/G, R/Hr, and and had a believable slightly super!Harry. but not too super, he's still fallible. It stays canon through OotP and HBP came out during when it was written so it's slightly HBP canon also. Everyone should go read it! and review it! Good stories deserve lots of reviews.

So this is where i'm going to end this journal...it got very long...much longer than i anticipated...i ramble a lot! A LOT! hehe. A lot! <<see, a lot! I hope people actually read this...and don't think i'm crazy after wards...if they do it doesn't matter, cuz i am...nutso that is...that usually takes people a few minutes of knowing me to understand that i'm a freak...weirdo...nut job...should be living on a crazy farm...where people love elipses...buh bye!
